2. Been told this was scraped to the ground and totally rebuilt in 2001 or 2002. Is this right? 3. Is it more beneficial to wait for forclosure because of encumbrances on property than to try a short sale before foreclosure? 4. Would this be a good vacation rental property?

Yes, this home is actually scheduled for auction on 3/2/2009. Auction will be held at 220 W Broadway, downtown San Diego. It is currently listed as a short sale asking price $629k - $669k. This home is located on the Bayside of Mission Blvd and is far enough south that you won't have any bar traffic or noise. Nearest establishment is 8 blocks north of the home. Great spot for a vacation, alot of the condos on the bayside are used exactly for that.
