No, it's against the Alto restrictions.

This area would not let you have a donkey.
Only pets like cats and dogs.
In fact this home has sold.

Fred is guiding you in the right direction as far as call the planning and zoning department. There is a property in Capitan that has two acres that is a better fit for livestock. I called the Village of Capitan and they are closed on Fridays but their number is 575-354-2247. I posted the MLS printout on the web reference below.

Oddest question I've seen on Trulia but since it is on .38 of an acre, it may be too small.

The best way to find out is to talk to the town of Alto and see if this property can have livestock. if not, ask them where you can.
