What is the average price to clear 1 acre of wooded lot? Any recommendations for contractors?

There's a local guy who is pretty good, Fred Puggi Excavating, 609 625 1997 I used him for some stuff and he did a good job.

Prices that I've seen vary greatly from about $2000-$7000 per acre for clearing and grubbing. The smaller the job, the higher the number as the greatest cost is in the mobilization of the equipment. Excluding the highest number which might have been inflated for bonding purposes, it's reasonable to expect you might pay around $4000-5000 for a 1-acre lot.

No contractors come to mind in that area, but you're still looking shoot me an email and I'll ask around for some recommendations.
