Hi Stacey,
The best place for answers about property taxes is indeed the property appraisers website: http://www.pbcgov.com/papa/index.htm.

This particular house is currently off the market according to the information in the multiple listing service. If you are looking for this particular model, there are several other houses currently listed of the same model in this neighborhood. The neighborhood is Olympia, and it's a newer guard gated community with many amenities. There are also a few houses of a similar size and different model.

Please give me a call if you would like more information on this community, or any other community in the area. There are some other communities that also offer houses that are of a similar size. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Stacey!

In Palm Beach County it makes no difference to you what the current owner's property taxes are as your taxes will be based on a percentage of what you pay for the property. You should allocate approximate 2% of your purchase as your tax basis.

Here's a link to the Property Appraiser's office that will further explain this to you as well as giving, among other things, information on Homesteading your property http://tinyurl.com/8ywqch

Good Luck!
