Hello Debbie,

Many condos allow large dogs. I would suggest finding some condos that you like and the proceed by checking their pet policy. Madison is a very per friendly city. Here are some condos to check out that allow large dogs: http://scwmls.fnismls.com/publink/default.aspx?GUID=e62661ac…

Of course there are many wonderful single family homes to look at if you decide to go that route.

Hi Debbie,
Single family homes will also be an option for you but there are plenty of condos that will accept larger dogs in the downtown/campus area of Madison. Here is a link to almost 100 available condos:

Hi Debbie,
As a large dog owner myself, I know they are an important consideration but can create difficulties finding homes in urban areas. Perhaps a single family home in the area within walking distance to parks might make the most sense. Many of these homes do not have large yards to take care of if you are looking for lower maintenance. Check out http://www.114SProspect.com as a great example. It's only blocks to campus and not overly huge. The Madison area has many wonderful dog parks. I think you'll love it here.

Condo's usually have a limit on size. 65lbs, is usually the limit in most condo's. Depending on the size of the dog, you might want to look for a single family home. I am a Realtor with 26 years of selling experience in Madison and surrounding communities. Please take a moment and visit my website at http://www.mikeadler.com. I would like to offer my services to you. I can be reached at 235-5115.

Hi Debbie,

Most of the condominiums are pet friendly and will accommodate your dog. You will have to check with each association to see if they have a weight limit (often times 45-65 pounds). I know that you are able to have a dog at Bedford Court, which is the condo you are inquiring about. If you would like me to help in your search I would be more than happy to. My team sells a lot of downtown condominiums each year as we are located on Capitol Square. Give me a call if you would like me to check on different associations. Thanks for your time-Mark
