It's possible that they have to have a certain amount out of the sale to break even. It's hard to know what a seller's motivation is until you make an offer based on other comparable sales and listings in the immediate area. Your real estate professional can present your offer and justify it to the seller/seller's agent by backing it up with current market data. Good luck.

Not a problem....ignore the asking price and make an offer that is a true reflection of the current real estate market in this location.
