Is this real? I feel like it's a scam.

Asked by Channon Campbell, Chicago, IL Thu Aug 1, 2013

There's been a lot of scams recently that I've seen on here. I plan to walk by the place today though and see if someone is currently living there or not.

I, and I am sure other agents, reported it as a scam. The fake rental listing has been replaced with this history of the property.

Hi Channon,

You know the old phrase "buyer beware" or "if it's too good to be true..."

Work with a Realtor or visit my website to search for what you're looking for be it a rental or purchase:

Yes, it is a scam. Anything that's listed as a Postlet or sounds too good to be true is almost always a scam. Don't use these sites for rental listings....they're not policed, and you're wasting your time chasing outdated or false listings. If you want to look up rentals, use a rental-specific site or better yet, use an agent to help you. It's no cost to you and will save a lot of time and potentially money.

Trust your gut feeling! Why are you not working with a professional real estate broker?

The actual asking price is $7500/mo and it is already under contract.
