As you were informed, the house was sold in may of last year. However, just to help you understand the process. When a home is listed with a realtor, the only way it should be seen is through a Realtor. There is contractual obligation that exists between the seller and the Realtor. Even if the seller were to breach his/her contract they would legally still have to pay the commisssion to the realtor. The vast majority of sellers wouldn't breach their contract for one person trying to buy direct. There are too many variables for them to consider such as whether the person is even a viable buyer. The professional Realtors are going to make sure of this even before making an appointment for the house to be seen. One of the realtors many duties in a transaction is not to waste anyone's time.
