Buyers now are looking at prices. Your home will sell, most likely, at its market price. Ask a local agent for a Comparative Market Analysis of homes in your area. Based on this, you can determine the market selling price of your home.
If you can afford to sell it at the market price, then feel free to list your home. If not, you will be looking at a Short Sale; but banks verify to make sure that it is a legitimate short sale.
Another option I tell sellers who can't list their home now is to rent the home. After a year or two, prices will tend to be higher as will your chances of selling.
