I'm interested in purchased a 1 acre lot in Cedar Hill but have heard about issues involving their questionable (shifty) soil.

You will want to get a soil survey during the option period from a structural engineer than can plan your foundation.
Lakeridge....wide variety of prices.....depending on so many things...view...slope...improvements...trees..etc.

Prices....anywhere from probably $20000 to $100,000?

With all the homes for sale...why would you buy a lot and build? You can probably make a much much better deal on a resale.

There has been some issues in Lakeridge. I would get an expert in soil testing. I can say that some of the views are beautiful in that area looking over Joe Pool Lake. I live in Mansfield and take that route when traveling to Cedar Hills.
