I bought a home 3-4 months ago. We found a roof leak that was not repaired which was on purchasing agreement. Who is liable?

I bought a home 3-4 months ago. Found during the home inspection was a "small leak" which was evidenced by a stain on the plywood in the attic. (No rain when house was inspected) We asked the seller to fix the leak as part of the purchase agreement. The seller provided me with a receipt that showed some work on the roof. We closed on the house and have been happy until last week when the leak became more apparent with the heavy rains. Further review of the receipt revealed the work date was 1 month prior to the home inspection which tells me nothing was done to address the leak. Is the seller responsible or am i stuck with roof repairs.
