Hi Alice,

Now is a good time to buy as interest rates are low if you can qualify for the mortgage if you are not paying cash. The first step would be to meet with a mortgage agent to determine how much you want to pay. We do have our own mortgage department at Howard Hanna if you would want to talk to them. This is a free service and could be done initially by telephone. Call my cell phone at 412 916 9155 and I can guide you through the process. I am an agent in Greensburg.

Alice, You can also keep an eye on this to see if any Hud homes become or are available in your area..

http://www.hud.gov/ll/code/llslcrit.cfm ...You can find hud lenders here..

http://www.hud.gov/offices/hsg/sfh/hcc/hcs.cfm .... To locate a hud counselor to assist you in the process

http://www.hooksvanholm.com//BrokerPennsylvania.aspx ...Brokers registered with Hud

Interview several agents to see who you feel most comfortable with.

Wish you the best of luck in finding your home, Dunes

the first thing you shold do if you are interested in buying a home is to meet with a local and trusted mortgage broker. You can get prequalified at no cost to see if there are any programs you do quailify for. As far as the home you have included a link for, this is not the sales price. Reatly trac does not list homes it only picks up foreclosure notices at local registries and prints them on their site. Once it goes through foreclosure auction it will be assigned to a local realtor, cleaned, approased and then listed for sale at the market price. good luck with your search.

I could give you a few names. I used to work at Northwood Realty Services and I know a few good people there.

Give me a call or email.
