Did you have a Pre-payment penalty on your Mortgagae loan? Was it FHA or Conventional? If you have a penalty or it is an FHA then you will either have to deal w/some type of penalty payment or deal w/the consequences of not being in the home the min. amt of time required for FHA - the Feds can be fickle . The market you're in will affect what you're able to do regardless. I'd suggest working w/a Realtor & Lender who has experience w/your situation. You're not the 1st & you won't be the last to find yourself faced w/this kind of dilemma. Good luck!
