When a house sells, the tax records will reflect the price it sold for once the records are updated. We can also look up sales information in the MLS.

That information is available through the Monroe County website at Under "How Do I?", click "Research Property and Assessment Info". Agree to the terms of use. Click "Search Residential Properties", then "See Detailed Report". Enter the address and hit "Search for Property". The Sales History should be at the bottom of the property information page.

If it's another county, you'll have to check their county website to see how that information is accessed. I'd also be happy to look any property up for you through the MLS.
