Constance,

If a property has been forclosed the county property appraiser's site wil show the bank as the owner of the property.

If there is a lis penden on the property and you click on the flag it will tell who filed it and when. If the property appraiser's site shows multiple mortgages and you want to see what's been satisfied and what's still open, go to the county's public records and search by name. It will show all recorded liens and satisfactions and their addresses.

Sites to search official records by counties near you:

http://www.pinellasclerk.org/aspInclude2/ASPInclude.asp?page…
http://www.pascoclerk.com/ instruments block empty and all pertinent things will come up.

If I can be of further help let me know.

Sincerely,
Pam Cohn

Hi Constance,

You can generally locate that information in the public records of the county the property is located in. In Pinellas Co., the Pinellas Co. Property Appraiser's website is particularly helpful. Realtors also have access to lender information through, although through a different avenue. Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions, or I can be of assistance!

Sincerely,
