Land contract's have made a bit of comeback since mortgage lending tightened up. However, most sellers are not willing to finance it themselves but it is always no unless you ask. I would agree with Nan and contact the listing agent. Also, I would say work with your agent and let them know you are interested in seller financing.

In the meantime, work with a trusted mortgage professional to get whatever is needed done to qualify for a traditional loan.

Hi Chris and Becky, I would suggest contacting the listing agent. When I have homes for sale on a land contract we usually ask for a non refundable down payment which will go towards the purchase price (if you end up purchasing it and a one year contract max along with a letter from a bank that states you will be able to secure a loan in one year or less. If I can help you with anything else dont hesitate to contact me direct. My contact information is on my website below. Best Wishes
