You can always pay your property taxes later (But, not too much later) with penalties without it affecting you personally so pay the mortgage first.

If you dont pay your property taxes within a certain time period mortgage company will pay on your behalf roll into overall mortgage payments spread over a certain time period INCLUDING additional amount paid in escrow. Speak with your lender. Not paying mortgage payment will "tank your credit scores" and face foreclosure
