Can units be rented out at 1919 Chestnut Street (William Penn Building)?

Asked by MS, Philadelphia, PA Wed May 30, 2012

Prudential's website (…) says that majority of the housing inventory is rented. The Co-Op's website says that rentals are not allowed. I am interested in purchasing a unit to live in, but only if I am still able to rent it out in the future.

You cannot rent out your unit at the William Penn House
Being a co op you own a share of the building not the unit that you would live in
A condominium is different in that you own the unit that you live in and are free to rent it out if that is what you decide to do
If I can be of any further assistance.feel free to get in touch
