Hello Barb,

Perry Pines in Sedalia is a horse friendly community and a large percent of the residents have horses. Covenants for Perry Pines regarding the right to have animals refers to Douglas County zoning for allowed use. The property is 5 acres and the zoning allows one animal unit per 1/2 acre. If you maintain the vegetation on the property, you can reserve the right to have horses. Properties that become devegatated by more than 20% percent of the gross lot size can be scrutinized by the county and homeowners association. Maintain the vegetation and you can have horses.
