Where did Trulia get wrong info on sale and how can it be corrected. Does owner need to take Trulia in to court?

Hi Bn,

I will let Trulia support answer your question specifically, but the reason I'm responding is because I had something similar happen this year with one of my listings.
The property tax record show that the homeowners bought it directly from the builder in 2005 & paid x amount.

Trulia's database picked up the partial assessed value ( total assessed value is land + improvements) & thus the price the owners paid was much lower then they actually paid.
They were really upset about it, since it seemed likethey were making a whopping profit form this sale, when they were actually not.

I had to call / email Trulia & have it corrected.

BTW, ususlly, there is a isclaimer that may suggest something like " information deemed correct but not guaranteed for inaccuracies" etc.

Understand your frustration at seeing such blatant errors.

In the end we are all human.
