Bill May answered:

We have what you're looking for. It is about 1 block from campus. The unit is very clean and neat near campus and we can provide some good furniture if you need it.

We are cautious about pets because the size of the property is limited. One small dog would be acceptable.

The unit has one outdoor parking spot and it rents for $2,600 a month. A indoor garage space is
also available for an additional $150 a month. Please call me if you'd like to look at it.

The rentals near the University and Palmer Square are very desirable and hard to come by with a decent price. Broaden your search to a couple of blocks further. You may be able to find more choices. Good luck.

Our urban/suburban centers will offer you some interesting options - much will come down to budget so suggest you begin exploring rental options price wise and narrow down from there. Certainly Montclair is a good idea - another that might have budget possibilties is Somerville in Somerset County. ... more

Nancy, I suggest you place an ad in town topics and princeton packet as these are the local papers. Princeton is pricey as you move away you will save money. If you like small town feel look at Pennington, Hopewell Boro and Cranbury. Since you are considering a house share you may also want to ask of people at your new place of employment. (even if short term this will give you opportunity to rent longer term when comfortable with commute, safety access etc.) ... more

Most rental opportunities are for 1 year-6 months is the exception.

Not sure what other considerations you have in mind.

Be aware that most web page searches for rents are not very accurate as the industry is lacking updating rentals as efficiently as they do resales.

I would suggest you find a Realtor you are comfortable working with so he/she can keep you in the current loop of what real choices exist

Since you are mentioning Princeton High School this will also allow you to rent in Cranbury as well as Princeton Boro or Princeton Twp (which will soon be consolidated into Princeton) I suggest you contact agents who can assist, interview and then commit to that agent (rather than working with every agent that you come across) Rentals are in short supply right now due to a number of factors including closure of many University units; hence Cranbury may be another potential area. Also remember most landlords will not want their homes to sit vacant until August so you may want to consider taking earlier if the right propery presents itself. Additionally more may come to market between now and then. Feel free to email if you would like to further discuss. I own and live in Princeton as well as own a number of rental investment properties in neighboring communities. ... more
