The simplest way to get an apartment when you have bad credit is to find a landlord that doesn’t do credit checks. Check Craigslist an online classified listing.

The classified section of your local newspaper is another place where property owners advertise for rentals. Thus, search there too.

Ask real estate agent help, they probably know the market better.

Good recommendations could help you as well.

Getting someone to co-sign your lease is another option.

If it sounds too good to be true it just may be. Meet the person at the local sheriffs office when completing the transaction.

Sorry, I just saw your question or I would have answered it sooner. It looks like the last time that property address was listed and sold was in January of 2013. That address isn't actually associated with that MLS number but that MLS number sold in 2005. Sometimes the homes that show up on Trulia and Zillow don't get updated as the agent is really responsible for making the changes to status. If they don't do it, it doesn't get reported. If you are interested in a more reliable way of searching homes let me know and I can get that to you. Getting accurate information is invaluable in todays market. The good homes go fast and it helps to have the information on listings as soon as they become available.

Best thing to do is go to the local police department, ask as many questions as you want and get an informed opinion. Unfortunately, as Realtors, we have to walk a very fine line with this subject to avoid issue. So check out and ask your local authorities and resources. Good Luck! ... more

The answers below are all correct in regards to the location of the property. This would cause me to assume that you are not from the Colorado Springs area and if you are considering moving here it can be difficult to get a picture of the area. Colorado Springs is varied as any good size city is. The western side of Colorado Springs is near the foothills of the mountains and more heavily treed than the eastside. This left it open to more risk with fire as the fire was started in a treed area and came down the mountainside. However, it needs to be mentioned that this has never happened in Colorado Springs before so highly unusual but still may not be worth the risk for you.

If you are interested in getting a relocation package let me know. I have some information that goes through what different neighborhoods have to offer, school districts, and will let you know what typical age, size and price of homes are in different areas.

Greetings

First off I have to mention that Trulia and Zillow ARE NOT usable measures of the value of a property because they use out of date information to value a home. It's fun to play with, but not a substitute for a professional appraisal or even a Comparative Market Analysis or Broker Price Opinion performed by an experienced professional Realtor.

Secondly, by statute "the data-gathering period used to estimate the value of property for 2013 value shall be the 24-month period running from July 2010 through June 30, 2012. Only properties having sold within this 24-month time frame may be used as comparables when estimating a market value!" So this value does not represent the CURRENT market value, but the approximate value during the statutory time period.

You can find further information on the dispute process at the El Paso County Assessors Website:
http://asr.elpasoco.com/Pages/2010AppealsProcess.aspx

I hope you find this information of use
