If your home needs extensive repairs, especially with the heating and windows, you will have to lower your asking price so that buyers can make the repairs themselves. It will be hard to sell your home in today's housing market if you do not compromise on your asking price. If you had more time, you would be able to make the repairs little by little, and ask more for your house. If I were you, I would choose a few things to have repaired quickly, such as the heating system.

Steve Elmore answered:
Hi Michelle,

It appears that the property in question, 134 North 26th Street is not on the market. When viewing from Trulia's site, it shows that the information was obtained from the PVA (Property Value Administrator's Office). The PVA, when you look on their site, shows that it has been owned by the same person since 01/01/1968. It does show that the owner has passed away. That being said, it is possible that the property is occupied by family.

Sites such as Trulia and Zillow try to provide as much information on as many homes as possible. Now all listings on their sites are FOR SALE. They are just there to provide information if you were looking at homes in the area.

If I can help in any way in your home search, feel free to contact me via email: or by phone at (502) 777-8181.
