One of the first steps in the home buying process is to get pre-approved. If you have a credit score of 640 or better than most lenders consider your score to be sufficient. Most of the time you will be required to put a minimum percentage of the total loan down i.e. 3% of the total loan amount. There will also be closing cost involved which can be negotiated with the seller; however, the down payment is typically the buyer's sole responsibility. I don't see any listings on HAR (Houston Assoc. of Realtors) for land on Evergreen. I do see 3 lots with a 700sqft 1 bedroom home and a couple of out houses.....$70,000

Welcome to the mysteries of DHI. I can't recall ever hearing of anyone who was happy working with them. Your only option is to now try another lender and hope the seller will hang on for another ride.

As long as lenders like DHI (and many others) have no consequences for their actions (or inaction), this kind of nonsense will continue.

Hi, unless you are a real estate agent or affliate you will not have access to the HAR "SOLD" menu.
Only members of HAR can access that information. It does, however, let you know active homes and homes that are "Option Pending" and "Pending Continue to Show", but it will not disclose how much the homes sold for. If you have a particular address you can check the public tax record for the appraised value.

I sell new and resales in Porter. If you are not working with a Realtor please feel free to contact me for what homes in Porter Sold for in the last 6 mos or so.
