I know this is an old question, but still very valid. I hope you've already moved and made the right decision for you and your family. But if you haven't moved yet or are still considering Port St Lucie, let me advise that it is considered the safest city in the state and the 2nd nicest city in the country. We are the 9th largest city now in the state of Florida. Very family oriented and lots of things to do. I've been here for 8 years now and really enjoy it. I've had my child here and couldn't think of a better area to raise him, at least in Florida. I've personally lived in 5 other areas in Florida and would say this is the best area I've been in. Hope that helps anyone reading this post.

I know this is an older post but someone else out there may have this question about any other areas vs Port St Lucie. Port St Lucie was ranked the safest city in the state of Florida and the 2nd nicest city in the country based on how many community service hours we've logged. I've lived here for 8 years and have lived in 5 other cities in Florida and can say it is definitely the best area I've lived in as far as living in Florida goes. I've also lived outside of the state in 3 other states so I have a wide array of knowledge of other areas. It's a small city with a small town feel. It's definitely turning more into a melting pot with the variety of people moving here. We get a lot of northerners, espcially with the winter they've had this year and people from "true" south Florida who can't stand the traffic move up this way as well. Very family oriented with things to do, the beach, boating, fishing and much more. We're definitely growing fast so if you do plan to move here do it soon as prices are only going to go up. ... more

Overall, Port St Lucie has the lowest crime out of any other city in the state and we are currently ranked the 9th largest city in Florida. So the area overall is very safe compared to other cities. Best thing to do would be to do a little more research on your own to find out. On our website we have a tab that allows you to find out the crime in every zip code and compare areas. Check it out.

I haven't heard anything since they last mentioned they were launching it except someone said, which not sure where they got their info from, is it's not going to happen here and they are moving it to a completely different area. Who knows what is true until it actually happens. It would be great if they did do it here as that would attract even more people to this area. If you find something out yourself, please let me know.

Is power cost all your concerned with? How about the chemicals, they get pretty expensive. How about the time it takes to clean it? Ya, you can escape cleaning if you invest in the snake which cleans the pool very well, but runs with the pool pump. How about the pool, does it have a light? My bulb blew out, wasn't cheap, right around 100 bucks, and I replaced it myself- I saved 50 bucks by doing that. There's a lot of up keep. Got to have a whole lot of Insurance, if you don't your setting yourself up for a very bad day if something should go wrong. I sold my house and now I sleep well. ... more

Rudy,

There is no such address in Port St. Lucie. The closest working address was a home that was for sale at 308 SW Ines, now withdrawn. This is in the Southbend area of Port St. Lucie.

Let me know if you have a specific search criteria and I'd be glad to help.
