Get a copy of your credit report. Correct any errors on your credit report if you find any mistakes. Write a letter to the credit reporting agency and explain why you think it is a mistake. Send documents that support your case. Pay every bill on time. Use credit carefully. Pay your credit card bills in full every month. Transfer high interest credit cards to lower interest cards that you already own. Take care with the length of your credit. If you have had a credit card for a long time and manage it well, that works in your favor. If you open new credit cards, that can lower the score.
