There should not be any attorney fees until a contract gets created.

If the lawyer is a real estate lawyer and the buyer will buy another house the lawyer will likely get paid at the next closing and sort of forgive the work done for the first deal.

Otherwise the buyer is responsible as the buyer is responsible for inspection costs.

This is really a leagal issue but in Westchester unless contracts are signed by both parties nothing is final. An Accepted offer really means that it is an "Acceptable Offer" and that there is a meeting of the minds. Every part of the State is slightly different and there are even different ways contract are handled in other states.

Unfortunately this can create a lot of stress and anxiety for buyers but the way the system is set up it also allows buyers to walk away if they change their mind or get cold feet at the last minute.

The system is not perfect. Hopefully they can continue to improve upon it.

Hi, You can ciontact the Village Of Pleasantville tax office for the village taxes and the Town Of Mount Pleasant for the School and County taxes. alot of this will depend on budgets, whether they are approved or not. Especially with school taxes..always remember any money the town is short will come from the loving tax payers.
