Not a new question, but I am sure Home Sellers are interested. If a home has new window, there is an addition to the appraisal over those who don't have new window. A subtraction is made for the reverse. The adjustment, however, is often less than the cost of putting the windows in. When there is a concern about appraised value, this could make a difference. There is no adjustment for an energy efficient door, although the cost there is not that great. One thing that people think will increase the value of their home, but no appraiser that I have seen has given value to it, is paving stone driveways and walkways.
