I recently moved to Plainfield after living in Naperville, IL for 25 years. I live on a little lake and feel that this is the best kept secret in the Chicago area. I love living here.

If the area you're inquiring about is near Pear Tree Circle, it's in the Plainfield School District, which has very good schools.

Hey Gloria,

one site that i have always used is http://iirc.niu.edu/ ..... this stie is done by NIU and it has all information about schools through out the state, you need to do a comparison to get the top school.. by the way when you say top you really need to define the criteria such as top scores, top student to teachers ratios.. and so forther..

I hope this helps.

Thanks,
Inaas Arabi

Hi James,

I'm sure the intention was to have started construction (or at least have it on the calendar) when everyone believed home construction would continue. Once the market made it's adjustment, home construction stopped (therefore, the potential for increased tax income stopped) and the student census didn't increase as anticipated.

The school district website doesn't offer any additional information other than a very subtle "nod" in the logo at the top of the page. As we start our climb back (and we have - we hit our bottom this summer), I'm sure there will be more talk once home construction starts up again.

Have a great day!
