If the home is not currently listed with a realtor, you can go directly to the bank but it had better be an all cash, 'as is' offer, which is what many builders; do who are snapping them up. If you want to go to the bank because there is another offer in play, your realtor can do that for you but again., you need a really strong offer. If you need to get a mortgage you really need the services of a realtor OR a lawyer who specializes in short sales. I can direct you to an attorney if you want to call me.
I recommend contacting a local Realtor. Are you just interested in foreclosed properties or are you interested in a good deal? There may be great homes priced extrmeley well on the market right now that may be even better deals than foreclosed or short sale homes.... more
