Your best bet is to check with SEPTA, but I know that the Trenton Line (R7), which connects in Trenton to the Amtrack train that comes from NY, has stops in NE Philadelphia and runs down through Center City. I hope this was helpful. ... more

The closest stop is at 2nd and Market, but it depends on what train you are looking for. Google Maps is a great reasource, if you just click the link below and put in your desired location you can get the best public transportation route and even put the desired time you want to leave/arrive.

Larry Lichtman answered:
Hi Jazzy Lady,

It is probably a 15-20 minute bus ride to Broad St subway. There are some local bus routes nearby.
You can go to www.septa.org and plan trips using 7001 Stenton Ave as your starting point and various destinations to see the convenience and time it will take to commute to where you want to go.

Have a Happy Healthy Peaceful & Prosperous New Year.

All the best,

You can take the Fox Chase, R8. There are a few stops through the city, but you don't have to do any transfers.
