The new min credit score to secure a FHA loan is now 640. Conventional loans will more than likely require a higher score.

Yes, Your credit score will matter with a FHA loan.

FHA standards are not as strict as conventional loans, but your score still matters.

The min score needed for a FHA loan in 640. However to get the very best prevailing interest rate and terms you should try to get your credit score above the min required.
