Normally a release would need to be signed by the buyer and the broker for it to be valid. Some states may have different legal versions of contracts though

If your home is not for sale, if you have purchased your home within the past 2 years, Trulia sometimes has delayed removal. Additionally, I recommend you check other sites as well. Trulia may have received the information from another site. It is not uncommon for "thieves" to place ads of homes for rent that are not actually available. It is also possible a real estate agent took a listing on your street and had a typo of the street number. ... more

The Washington Post has unveiled its 2014 list of America's Most Challenging High Schools.

The newspaper determines the annual rankings through a ratio: the number of Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate and Advanced International Certificate of Education tests a school gives each year, divided by the number of graduating seniors.

Four Fayette County schools made the list, which features more than 2,000 high schools across the country. The listed numbers are each school's national ranking.

1031. McIntosh HS
1338. Starr's Mill HS
1635. Whitewater HS
1828. Fayette County HS

If you need assistance in your home purchase please call me.

Good question Chanelle! A walk score is how close in proximity you are to shops, restaurants, grocery stores, schools, etc. the highe the number, the closer those things are to your area. Our area, Peachtree City Ga has a walk score of 28, meaning that most places require the use of a golf cart or car. ... more

I've lived here for a long time (in North PTC, near the Kedron Village area) and I've gotta say...I'm not Planterra's biggest fan. I kind of look at it as its own island. It's the only neighborhood in the area (the next closest ones are behind WalMart). It is very large, but I'm not sure if that's a good thing. It is very close to everything...but maybe too close. The traffic around the area is awful at most times of the day during most times of the year - bad enough that I often try to avoid it when I can. So, I cannot imagine actually living right in the middle of it all. Planterra seems to me to basically be over-hyped.

A similar neighborhood in a nicer area with great ammenities that aren't so traffic-y is Kedron Hills. Also a pool neighborhood and pretty big, but I think it's spacier and has nicer homes. Might not be as affordable as Planerra, but probably has better resale and is definitely worth looking at. The schools that the neighborhood is districted for are Crabapple Elementary (the newest elm. school in PTC - I went there, loved it), Bennetts Mill (the newest middle school, actually in Fayetteville...this is both a good and bad thing. The school itself is fantastic, but it's farther away.) and McIntosh High School. I go to MHS. Between it and Starrs Mill...I would definitely not send my kids to SMH. While the administration at Starrs Mill is better, the students are a much more of what you would stereotypically expect from a wealthy planned community. At MHS, there is far more diversity. Anyway, good luck!

All of the schools in PTC are wonderful. My brother is a special needs student and he did have a hard time with bullying, which is how he ended up getting into the same program that I saw Don Sullivan mention. It's incredible. With that, he was able to have his education paid for to go to a well-known private school called The Campus (close to McIntosh High School). He absolutely loved it. That school did more for him than we ever could have hoped for. I definitely suggest looking into it. Good luck! ... more

I consider communication to be extremely important between Realtors and Sellers as well as Buyers. I feel that Realtors should contact and/or update their customers on a weekly basis at the very least. If you feel that your Realtor isn't communicating well enough with you, it's certainly something you should bring to their attention. If you bring the issue up with them and they still do nothing to improve their communication with you, that's when you know it's time to find a new Agent.
