Alpharetta isn't known for it's parks but it does have some very nice ones. One of the best parks is Wills Park. It has several baseball fields, pool, gymnasium and plenty of walking space and playground areas. Even a nice creek to enjoy. It's right next to an equestrian center as well.

All of the parks allow dogs, but remember to do your dooty...

Alpharetta has a wonderful family oriented park system with features such as Tennis, swimming, softball, equine, lacrosse and community green space. Along with what you would consider a standard park environment, Alpharetta has a terrific green trail that used frequented by joggers and cyclists, along with an adjacent set of mountain biking trails. CAUTION CYCLISTS - Please respect the rules of the trail and SLOW DOWN when passing walkers, joggers and small children. For more information of upcoming park events - click the web reference below.

Alpharetta is great for children, and Gwinnett County just next door was rated in the top 5 nationally for Children's activities/sports. With places like Stone Mountain nearby, fantastic state parks Amicalola, tubing in Helen or Atlanta, and the Federal Army Corps lakes such as Lanier nearby, this is a great place to be. The State parks are completely underrated (or at least not well known) in my opinion.

Welcome to Alpharetta's newest park - this was gleaned from the Alpharetta City Web-page:

Waggy World Paw Park opened to the public on Monday, September 25th. Waggy World Paw Park is located at Wills Park, on 1.5 acres along Old Milton Parkway between Roswell Street and Wills Road. Paw park amenities include off-leash areas for large pups and small pups, water fountains, and park benches. Visitors are asked to adhere to the posted rules. Please visit our Paw Park Web Page for more information.
