Landlords and management companies don't advertise for Section 8. You can try searching the internet for Section 8 rentals in the Bronx. The truth is it will be difficult because landlords want renters who can pay full price. Section 8 & other government programs only pay about 75% of the rent and the landlord or owner loses about 25% every month. If you can afford to pay the 25% that Section 8 doesn't pay, every landlord will be happy to give you a lease. If you can't afford it, you may have to contact NYC Housing and see if you can get into one of their projects. There is a nice complex on Waring Ave. at the corner of Williamsbridge Road that is owned by New York City Public Housing. The office is on Waring Ave. My father in law lived in one of the buildings for decades & he never had a problem living there. Unfortunately, he passed recently.
