Many of the 3rd party websites such as Trulia will respond to requests to remove the pictures after the home is sold. However the information has been spread to thousands of local agents and real estate companies. It is essentially impossible to remove them from the internet.

If there are only a couple websites that you are particularly bothered by contact the listing agent and see if he can get the web post changed.

Why do you want to change it? Is it the only property with that zoning? Or other there other "condos" in the same community? This will determine if there is a change. The zoning/plotting of that parve is what dictates that. So go to the building department and verify, it may not be an easy change. ... more

That house on Wilkie Way was built in 2007. I would expect it to rent for well over $6000. A client of mine recently accepted a tenant who paid nearly $6,000 for a smaller older home in a slightly more desirable neighborhood. Three years ago it was rented out for $4,000.
http://julianalee.com/homes/2011/walter_hays_dr_291/home-for-rent.htm

The Wilkie Way home is advertised for rent on Craigslist for $8000.

If you look near the bottom of the page you referenced you will find a link called "Listing Website". That link will take you to a Postlet web page with a Chico, CA phone number. The advertised rent of $1200 month is not believable.

I helped a client of mine rent out a very nice 2 bed condo in the Midtown neighborhood for $4500 month. The El Camino Way address corresponds to the "Hamlet" complex. It suffered from delayed maintenance a few years ago but is quite nice.

You will be quite challenged to find a 1 bedroom apartment in Palo Alto for $1200 month. That price for a 2 bedroom rental at a place as nice as the Hamlet is simply not believable.

Generally the tax assessor records are the source of computer generated valuations. The Santa Clara County assessors office says your home is a 3 bed 2 bath home. I don't know of any reason Trulia would show 2 bed 1 bath

Online permit search does not show any additions having been made.

Juliana Lee answered:
As suggested contacting the listing agent is the best way to get pictures removed.

However since the property was on the MLS the information will have spread to dozens of 3rd party sites and to every agent's website which has an IDX property feed. The vast majority will automatically clear with time but once something appears on the internet, there can be traces of it for many years.

Typing 781 Encina Grande into a internet search shows that the 23 pictures have spread far beyond the MLS and Trulia. The pictures do not get automatically updated because of a change to the MLS but normally disappear with time.

848 Southhampton was for sale in both 2008 and 2012. I visited it both years. It is located in Leland manor, a very nice neighborhood, quite close to where I used to live. Since the house was built in 2008 plans were surely submitted to the City of Palo Alto to get permits and for review. Even though permit status is online for recent Palo Alto construction I've never seen floor plans made available.

Given the home's size and unique design, it would be hard to use the floor plan to get helpful ideas when building a new home.

The Santa Clara County Assessors office provides some basic information but they don't post the ownership info because politicians made it illegal to post information about their homes. The county took the easy solution and quit posting ownership info. Other public sources probably won't post it either.

The Medford Team answered:
Guess what … if the listing has the logo for RealtyTrac ...

Then what you are seeing is NOT an actual listing … it is an advertisement for RealtyTrac.

RealtyTrac is a provider of data for distressed homes. This data is used by investors and Realtors to track distressed homes. When you see the RealtyTrac logo, you are not looking at a home that is actually available for you to buy: what you are seeing at is either (1) the notice of default for one of the mortgages on the property in question, (2) a notice of an impending trustee sale or (3) a notice of a completed trustee sale.

RealtyTrac notices can be very deceptive because they usually give loan amounts, not the purchase price or fair market value. When and if this particular property hits the market, it will be at market price for the neighborhood.

Bottom line: RealtyTrac is trying to get you to sign up for their service.
