I love Palm Springs. I think that it is a great place to live. The summer heat can get a little intense but with a good AC system I think it can be bearable. You should come out to visit before making the move. Work with a local Realtor and ask them to show you properties that are in your price range. Of course, getting pre-approved would be your first step.

All the best,

When the wind blows, this area does see strong winds; however people make a bigger deal out of the wind than is warranted. It can be windy in Old Las Palmas or the Movie Colony during the windy season; it's just stronger in the north. ... more

There is likely more here than meets the eye.....and we shouldn't overlook the bank's role in this scenario. Before filing a complaint, it's recommended that you do some simple personal investigation.
Begin by making contact with the listing agent or their broker and requestion an update and explanation of the events described.

You may find there is no need to take this any further....

Good luck,

Bill

Lori,

I was born here 6 decades ago (god I'm old!) Born in Indio because the little hospital in Palm Springs was full.
Grew up in "Cat City" and went to schools in Palm Springs. I remember when the Alexanders were built -- yep -- that old... If I can be of help -- let me know.

If you dont mind being just out of Palm Springs, I would suggest The Desert Princess, it is gated. There are a ton of rentals but March is filling up fast. Try VRBO and just type in Desert Princess in the search box. ... more
