Pacific Palisades is a suburb of the City of Los Angeles with a small town environment. It is located on a hill above the Santa Monica Bay (where there are a number of beaches), between the cities of Santa Monica and Malibu. It is a very affluent area that attracts celebrities as well as families. Within Pacific Palisades there are different neighborhoods, around the small village, center of town. Each neighborhood, The Huntington, The Alphabet Streets, The Riviera, The Highlands, has its own characteristics. And some are quieter than others. But none have the noisy environment of a big city. The best advice is to get several estimates including an estimate of how long the project will take to get to completion. Also make sure you are comparing apples to apples in amenities with the different estimates to ensure which contractor will not only do the best job, but you will also be getting the best deal for your money.

Good luck!

Living space inside the property is what is counted as square footage. But the infinity pool and head on ocean views do increase your value; give me a call and I can come by and provide you with a free comparative market analysis.

Hi Richard,

Another great blog. This blog mostly covers the Santa Monica high tier market but I think you can get a sense of Palisades as it makes reference to the Case Schiller index of home prices which tracks the sales price of the same home over time.

I hope this information is of use to you.

Best Regards,
