I would assume it would be possible but the only way to know for sure is to contact a lawyer. I have a few real estate lawyers I can recommend for you. Call, email, or text me! 913-991-1221 Kaelynn@ReeceNichols.com
Also- if you would like any property management services I can provide that for you!

Hey Christine,

I just joined trulia and noticed nobody had answered this yet so maybe I can help. Could you provide a little more info on what hospital you are referring to? I'd be happy to help you search rental properties and see what's out there in your price range. Or if you want to look, you can search craigslist, hotpads, rent.com, and other rental sites and you may be able to find what you're looking for.

Good luck and let me know if you'd like some help.

Best Regards,

Rent.com has several rental options in the Kansas City area. Plus you get a $100 reward card when you list using them (you must sign a lease & move in to qualify). I think you might find something there.

Baraq,

One of my Specialties is relocation real estate.

For what you are considering, I would recommend the Westport area and parts of Waldo. There are many great shops, restaurants, and grocery stores! Not to mention both neighborhoods are not too far from the Power and Light District (which features concerts at the Sprint Center often), and the Kansas City Plaza (where there are tons of well known clothing stores and restaurants as well!) I would say that these neighborhoods can be Kid Friendly but again, you would get a better sense after visiting the areas. Also there are some townhomes that are on the newer side as well as updated homes that have great character if your interested in looking! ... more

You may be lucky...if he was doing the right thing...he would have pulled your apps then offered to release the property. Any adult over the age of 18 should be named on the lease.

If I were you I would arrange to pay off the eviction...get a letter from your past landlord that it has been satisfied to use in the future. ... more

Dorian,

There are several home options in the area with a finished basement. The home you mentioned has definite opportunity for you to finished the basement however it isn't currently for sale.

The link below has several houses in the same neighborhood which are for sale and feature a finished basement. If you aren't currently being assisted by a Realtor, I am happy to arrange a time for you to view the homes of interest.
