Some Villages in Chicagoland have some really cool homes that are replicas of actual castles, most notably in Wayne, Fox River Grove and Elgin. Castles come in all shapes and sizes. To find the castle of your dreams in Orland Park, it may be best to work with a local Realtor in town and go out to look at the best choices. ... more

Rent to own is really not a good idea, therefore consider fixing whatever is preventing you from purchasing outright. Rent to own can be risky and one could stand to lose a bit of money, it favors the owner; therefore inform yourself well in advance of your search, and consider consulting with an attorney who specializes in real estate before considering the idea and or before signing any agreement. If you haven't done so yet, visit with any licensed loan officer, see if you can buy outright, or simply continue renting until a purchase can be made. ... more

This is a nice home. You would likely not be able to keep just dirt as weeds will grow and then the village will fine you. But, you don't need to have grass. You can do yards with paver brick, concrete, landscaping (not allergic to) and other hard surface items. It can be very functional and nice. There are many fine landscape architects in the area that can make yards look nice. Feel free to call if you want more information about this or other properties.

With any questions like this, it is always best to consult with the village and ask them. Many villages have nice people with square feet computations that will answer your question.

I think you won't be able to secure useful info on this question because the market varies SO WIDELY from one location to the next. Even within a single city (say, Nashville), for instance, there are "hot" areas of town with many, many more sales and listings and there are distinctly "cooler" area as well. Sorry to not be able to answer your question -- but I'm dealing in truth here! ... more
