South Coast Plaza is in Costa Mesa, about 20 minutes on the 405 Fwy.
An nice community but not in Huntington Beach. Maybe Bella Terra Mall
at the 405 Freeway and Beach Blvd. would be a good Alternative.
Next to the Bella Terra mall is a Costco and 600 new apartments under
construction. You could Rent and leave the car home.

The five runs directly into the 405 just merge to the right and you should start looking within 15 minutes once you are on the frwy.

There are plenty of busses that travel north and south on Pacific Coast Highway. I recommend looking at the OCTA website for times and routes.

I commute from Huntington to Montebello 5 fwy and Slauson my commute is anywhere from 40 min to 70 min 405 to 605 is heavy because of construction. 605 to 5si heavy. Going home 5 to 605 is bad and 405/605 interchange is bad till you pass the 22 fwy. I love the weather here so I don't mind the commute. ... more

If you are talking about the 22 Fwy interchange with the 405 Fwy, or 405 Fwy to 605 Fwy, it's correct. That construction is supposed to be completed by 2014. Hopefully sooner of course.

There are car pools also that helps in the express (diamond ) lane. There is also Park and Ride Bus service and Metro trains. Most people drive alone so there is your tie-ups. Some of the freeways have monitors alerting drivers of estimated time of arrivals at destinations in LA.

Get a copy of your CC&R's. Read it over very carefully. Then meet with the HOA. Communication will solve 95% of all issues.
If this is a case where you are a tenant, then you need to go back to the owner with this issue. At that point the owner would need to meet with the HOA to come up with an acceptable solution to all parties. ... more

Hi Kim,
Check out homes in Brea, Fullerton, Placentia, and Yorba Linda. If you have schol age childred these cities have good schools and are just about 22 minutes to Commerce no traffic. Also Irvine is off the 405 and is a great place. My oldest son lives in Irvine and commutes to Commerce, not a bad drive from there either. Aliso Viejo really is much farther than it must look on the map! Check those out an dgood luck to you.
