As you've been told, Old Greenwich Gables is pretty much the only game in town that is convenient to the village. The average 1.5 to 2 bedroom rentals rent between $2800-4000 Per month depending on the location within the complex and condition of the unit. They are currently selling between $500k-650k.
There are other units in OG but they are by Rt 1. They are The Commons and Cider Mill, for a one bedroom in the Commons the sale price is around $350-400k and the rental is around $1800-2300 per month and Cider Mill sales are around $500k for a two bedroom and rent for around $2500.
Please Feel free to call me for more info unless you are under. Contractual obligation with another agent.

Our office has a couple of town wide graphs, one for average price range and one for medium price range. They go back to around 1990 but they are for the whole town of Greenwich and are annual data. I don't know whether that information would be helpfut to you bu I would be happy to share it with you if you would like to send me your email.

Helping you to read between the lines, if you're looking for that Old Greenwich feel - the listing will always say: "South of the Village".....If it mentions Binney Park, then you know that you're North of the Village, and on the other side of the train. If it only mentions close to amenities, and/or Havemeyer Park area, it most likely will be located on the other side of route 1 (Putnam Ave) ... more
