So many factors effecting vacation homes. In a tight economy there are fewer buyers that can afford the luxury. OC is always going to be a popular destination at the right price.

There are some condos here that are listed as single family home-so you can not rely on the statistical data- it is far inflated and does not represent the lower value of the condo property versus single family. I would call the agent directly and ask them to change it so you can compare actual condo pricing and value.. ... more

There is no across the board answer right now. While some units have shown slight increases in value, most in OC are stagnant or even showing modest decreases still. We will need much more than 6 months before we transition from a buyers market to a sellers. There is typically a stagnation period in between. I would anticipate this to be the short term forecast for at least the next year.
