The property you were referring to is no longer active. Many properties are shown on Trulia, and similar websites, that are not active or available. What you need to do is call a Realtor, and then you will get a list of available properties that correspond to what you are looking for, or what you can afford. Realtors don't try to force anybody to buy something; Realtors will guide you and assist you so that you can make an intelligent decision -- when you are ready to buy a house.

In your case, if you are looking to lease a place, I can give you information to go on. I may be able to help you find the right property. Feel free to send me your questions.

Yes, Odd reaction. If you don't like the property or think it is not priced right just move on. Many seller's do not price their home correctly based on market data but comments like this are pointless.

You have asked a good question about a house with a "garage conversion."
By definition, a "Garage Conversion" is what we call a house whose garage has been converted to living space instead of parking space. This means the space (or square footage) has to be heated and air conditioned (in Texas). It usually also means a wall has been put up to define living or sleeping areas, so you could no longer park a car in it. (Some garages are easy to convert back.)

The average 2-car garage is about 400 square feet, so you would be able to add approximately 400 square feet to a house by converting the garage. This frequently works well for large families who need the extra space without wanting to pay more for a larger house. But if you appreciate parking your vehicles in a shaded, protected space, then you would want to have a garage space to park in. When people in the real estate industry quote the size of the house, they do not count spaces that are not air conditioned, such as porches and garages. Some cities have deed restrictions, and require that a garage be a part of the original house as constructed by a builder. This is true in Watauga, for example. But after the first owner moves in, they may close in the garage. Sometimes you will find a large house with a carport added over the driveway to provide shelter for vehicles after the garage has been converted.

It appears that you had a question regarding properties in N. Richland Hills. Please consider getting in touch with the local expert, as I have been selling houses in the area for 33 years.

The street you were referring to is "Hickory Hollow Lane." The most recent activity on that short street (2 blocks long) was a house that sold for $160,000. There was another property listed on the same street last year for $275,000. It did not sell and was pulled off the market. Probably by a frustrated seller who didn't want to accept that it would not sell for that price!

There is currently a house that has gone into foreclosure, and I have the informaton on it. The property is currently owned by the Bank; however, the Bank is not ready to put it up for marketing by local Realtors. Are you an investor looking to acquire another house in that area? Then I would welcome your call, and we will see if we can't be the first to submit an offer on this house.

Hickory Hollow Lane sits in the Foster Village subdivision of North Richland Hills. It is a very nice area, with great schools! There are only 49 properties on this street, and they will sell for much more than this house was foreclosed for. So, if you are willing to fix it up and put some fresh paint on it, you would be able to make a profit when you flip it. Or, it could make a nice rental property as well.

Sometimes they may be in the process of foreclosure and go on the market months or even 1-2 years later.
If you specifically want a foreclosure we have lists we can send you. Most of the time they need a lot of work done.
Or if you want move in ready, you may get a better deal on a normal resale.
