With the lockbox open...make sure the latch is in the lock position.
If you don't have the tool...use a small flathead screwdriver.
Make sure all the little arrows on the lock are pointing in the same direction by lightly pressing and turning them until they are all pointing in the same direction (to the top of the box)... press the clear button down.
Select your code by turning the arrows in the opposite direction...(to the bottom of the box) should be half a turn. Then press the slide button on the front which will set the new number. Test the new code BEFORE you close the box.
Hope this helps

This is intriguing. I'm trying to imagine what eventuality an insurance policy would insure vacant land against. Perhaps if you had trees for logging, or a citrus grove, on the land, and something happened to the trees? Thanks for sharing, but I really wish you could remember more. Warm regards. ... more

I'd be happy to provide you with a list of lenders I can happily recommend that I use for VA purchases on a regular basis--a significant percent of our buyers use VA financing, so almost anyone one in the business in Niceville is very comfortable with VA loans and purchases. I know I have responded to your inquiry before but didn't hear back from you.
As far as finding a lender first, I don't think that is an issue, depending on the timing of when you will be arriving in Niceville, and if you will be coming ahead to find property before you actually make the move. I'd love to send you listings to look at so you can have an idea of what your money will buy in this area, because it is so different in each location. And at the same time I will send a list of half dozen highly recommended lenders that you can contact to begin the process of becoming prequalified; the lender will then quickly be able to tell you--and me--what price point you qualify to buy, and I can then adjust the criteria for the listings I would send you.
Feel free to text, call or email me with further information and with your email so I might send you some starter listings to get your feet wet, so to speak.
I am a Certified Florida Military Specialist, and am also a military wife myself, so have lots of personal experience with using VA financing beside my professional training. It would be my honor to help you and your family find your next home here. or 850 259 0448

This property is not currently on the market for sale, but insurance prices in this area are surely different from your area, for various reasons. If you are still looking for a home in this area, and would like a list of homes that are for sale I'd be happy too provide you with some. Let me know what exactly you are looking for and I'll send you listings that match, and when you find something you like we can then address the costs of taxes and insurance, as it will differ on each property. ... more

Hi Homesearch, I believe the best way to answer that question would be after seeing what you have to offer. Niceville as a whole is a very viable market at this time. We are seeing steady increases in buyers as well as prices in Blue Water Bay. The thing buyers like most are pretty consistent, kitchens, bathrooms, etc. However, it may not always be necessary to make major changes to a home before selling as some buyers are more willing to personalize the home upon moving in. Scheduling an in home market analysis will be the best way to make the most amount of money in the shortest time during your sell. I am available 7 days a week at no charge. ... more

Niceville is a great place to live. If you need a list of available rentals, please contact me and I will be glad to provide you one. I would need you to provide what you are looking for (House, Condo, etc.) and how much you are wanting to pay. If you have the funds for six months of rent, you might be better off buying a home.
Feel free to give me a call at 850-830-6222.
Thank you,

I'm an agent in Niceville at Ben Slade Realty. Mike and Trevor are spot on with their advice. You gotta know what you can afford before you go hunting for your next home. A lot of agents will offer to send you pages of listings for you to review prior to going out and looking. I recommend getting that list down to 15 or 20 using basic property descriptions, timeline consideration, and loan terms/guidelines.

Once you get down to 15 or 20 you should start opening doors. But here's my number one tip for searching for an agent. How long does it take for your prospective agent to call you back or respond to you if you reach out to them? Because if they are slow to respond before they are your agent, they will be slow to respond when they're working for you.

If I may be of service, please don't hesitate to call.

I searched our MLS and there are no rentals in Niceville that are shorter than 6 months that I could find. Occasionally you might find one in the Florida Club, but it is rare. I would suggest checking out the Value Place extended stay in FWB ( or Resort Quest in Destin ( Another option would be to check out Vacation Rentals By Owner (VRBO) to see if there is something in Destin or FWB/Okaloosa Island. You might also want to check out some of the local hotels to see if they have any extended stay prices. Finally, Craig's list might have some listings.
Good luck with your search.
