There is a standard feed from MLS unless you or your company has made specific arrangements to have a more direct feed into Trulia/zillow ... in which case, you would need your IT to check your API interface to make sure the correct fields are being matched up.

Another issue could be that you've recently changed to price and it hasn't propogated out yet, in which case you should check into what your particular lag time is supposed to be (usually no more than a day or two?

Depends on where in Newton and your expectations of quality. Figure around 400 - 600 including land.

Land costs around 750,000 - 2000000

Dear Jhillsop.

Based on your current assets a construction loan might be the best option for you. As Dan Tabit mentioned, you will definitely need a Professional and Reputable General Contractor to help make the deal happen as they will be the one's cashing the money you will borrow. I'm an agent in the area and I also own a reputable remodeling company (not a construction company). Feel free to contact me and I can def. recommend you some lenders as professional and reputable builders to help you in this new adventure! GOOD LUCK! ... more

I would use a local rental professional to save time and money and also to make sure you don't miss a great rental.

Drive around and meet people.
Ask those who live there.
Interview the school professionals, coaches, etc.

Clean/organize the home, repaint if needed, neutralize the style so it appeals to the masses, stage it with good furniture (lots of places rent furn), take great pictures and get the property in the MLS via an FSBO company. Also, make a landing page web site for your property with pictures, etc.

We have a great FSBO referral that has helped buyers sell their own properties all the way up to the milions.

Did you get the information you were seeking?

The Newton Police Department can be reached at http://www.newtonpolice.com/

The suggestion to walk the neighborhood and visit nearby shops and businesses is a good one, there are several wonderful coffeeshops nearby, the Country Desserts Bake Shop is right at the corner of River and Lexington St ... Auburndale Center and West Newton Center have a whole host of little shops and businesses that would really give you a good feel for the neighborhood.

Tough it is summer, you may wish to check out the two Elementary Schools which serve that neighborhood ... The Burr Elementary School and Franklin Elementary School. Whether you check the Newton Public Schools website http://www.newton.k12.ma.us or perhaps check the Massachusetts DOE website of School profiles http://profiles.doe.mass.edu/profiles/general.aspx?topNavId=1&orgcode=02070000&orgtypecode=5&
