From Newark City are many trains to New York. 24-hour PATH trains operate directly from Newark Penn Station to World Trade Center, Manhattan. If you require Greenwich, East Village, SoHo, Little Italy, Chelsea, Midtown, transfer is require for free at Journal Sq for 33rd St train.
Newark City Subway, has train take you to Newark Penn Station for bus, subway or PATH connection.

Hi Tashema, I believe the closest train station is Newark Penn Station in downtown Newark. The trains there will take you to different points of New Jersey, to New York Penn Station and Philadelphia. You can also catch the PATH and Amtrak trains there as well. ... more
