Is it located in Newark? It's not coming up on the tax map. In any event, try your local zoning office and ask what do they have the property registered as. Regardless of what anyone else tells you (i.e. the owner, Real estate agent, etc.), it all comes down to what the folks down at city hall consider it as. Good luck. ... more

Your current lease must be honored by the new owner; however, if that buyer plans to live in it him/herself when your lease expires, he/she does not have to offer you a new lease. If they continue to keep it as an investment property, they must offer you a renewal based on market values.
