You can register for a free account as a real estate agent, no one HAS TO subscribe/pay for premium services or pay for zip codes. It is some exposure for you and will get your listings on the site. You should also go over to Active Rain and sign up for a free blog. It is fantastic exposure for me. I put a link below ... more

It depends if you had a contract with your listing agent to also represent you as a buyer agent to buy a home? If so yes, if not could be no.

I bought a home 4 months ago and I've been having electrical problems, now I find out my house is wired with aluminum. I checked the home inspection and the inspector stated that the branch circuits were copper and that he inspected the GFCI, But we don't have any. Now I'm afraid that my insurance will drop me due to the fire hazard. I asked the inspector if the we copper wiring he said so I believe him. Also on the original listing it said that the house had new electrical. ... more

The so called property management (carlos) even quit on me bc the tenant issues were so bad. They obviously did not pre-screen these tenants. And Tony has not been returning any of my calls/texts. I think it would be very frowned upon( if not worse), by the Realtor at the Open House!

The host of the Open is a buyer agent who will be available for any buyers who need representation and who have visited.

If you want to increase your business via Open House, you should offer to host them for agents at your Re/Max office there in New Jersey.

Most busy listing agents don't have time to host every Open House they are holding, and will be very happy to allow you to put up all the signs, bring the food and show the home to potential buyers. Your pay for doing this, is the opportunity to meet potential buyer clients.

Best of luck with your Real Estate business!

I am seraching NoFee house rental in Long Island, NY for almost 3 months. No luck. Landlords asking 2months security deposit, 1 month's rent and 1 month brokers Fee. For an average rental of $2700, Tenant has to pay $10800 up front, plus sign an oil contract and pay all utilities. Its rediculous for a rental. I did not hire any broker. And I dont understand Fee for what service ? Brokers just put an ad on craigslist. I know it's an effort and time, but still can't justify $2700 for that effort. And even if brokers do hard work, why not charge landlord.? Why charge tenant ?

Anyways, what is the way to negotiate broker's fee, or not to pay fee ?
