How can Paul, the agent from Scottsdale have the best answer. Absolutely absurd. It is total inappropriate to say that there is no conflict. The circumstances must be considered on a case by case situation. Of course this represents the potential for a conflict of interest.

Generally gas is something you have to take care of on your own. Sometimes an apartment complex will cover the costs and include it in rent, or they will have it go through them, and they'll give you a bill every month for you to pay. Generally though, you're going to need to call the gas company in your area to get heating and hot water set up. You should talk to your landlord to find out what is provided by them, that way you'll have a better understanding of what to expect.

I think your concern about the snow removal is extremely valid. They get quite a bit of snow there as far as I know and you'll want to make sure you're in an area that has well-maintained roads. That's especially true if you have to drive to work every day and it's hard to get days off for snow. That being said, if the city doesn't have good snow removal, you might consider some sort of private snow plowing service. ... more
